Book with story coming out of it.
Merlandia Abides is a monumental vertical oceanic citadel rising from living reef to celestial spire — a layered underwater kingdom where architecture and ecosystem intertwine. Cascading waterfalls feed crystalline fountains, coral terraces bloom with wildlife, and seashell buttresses cradle hidden chambers and adventure paths. Sea-creature guardians patrol the heights — from mages of magic to coral beasts — protecting merfolk communities that gather in grottoes, observatories, and tide-washed plazas. Each level reveals a narrative vignette: secret sanctuaries behind falling water, reef gardens alive with flora and fauna, and luminous marine relics embedded within sculpted stone. Blending organic reef formations with structured vertical engineering, Merlandia Abides celebrates majesty beneath the waves — a world of guardians, wildlife, motion, and myth captured in brick.

This MOC highlights one of the lesser known parts of LEGO’s history, that Samsonite manufactured LEGO for the North American market in the 1960s. This MOC uses parts that are made out of both of the materials Samsonite used, Cellulose Acetate and ABS plastic. The small builds inside the suitcase highlight the types of parts that were available in the 1960s.
